Tall Bellflower

(Campanula americana)

The Tall Bellflower is one of the few bellflower species with flat, star-shaped flowers instead of the usual cup or “bell” shape. Bellflowers are associated with humble beauty, and often given to express love and gratitude. The bellflower’s leaves are edible and nutritious as a spinach substitute, and the plant has many traditional medicinal uses.
